Lent is the most beautiful, transformative, compelling, and significant of all our liturgical seasons.
It is from where our faith began. Christianity would not exist without the unfathomable, but fully witnessed return of our Lord from the dead. Many rejoice in Lent, looking forward to the unfolding of our treasured ritual and customs.Others feel incovenienced by the obligation of Fasting and Penance. Some suffer a sense of guilt or despondency. While others feel desinterested with too familiar, now uninspiring practices... But this Lent, we could take five minutes each day to sit quietly, perhaps in our cars in the morning or on our bedsides at night, and simply let God come to us, to enter us, heal us, nourish us, and transform us for a lent which could be a turning point in our lives as true Disciple of Christ, his Beloved Creation from whom he rose again.
